Otaru Marittimo Hotel

This boutique hotel is an adaptation of a once important bank on the main street of Otaru, once an important port. We used the narrative of a global shipping headquarters. On the theme of the open sea, the original banking hall became the hotel restaurant, with reception, bars and clubs occupying the executive offices adjacent to it. On the first floor, the Star Bar makes a dramatic re-interpretation of the original strong-room with an artificially lit starry sky at night. Every room in the hotel is different and is styled on the culture of port cities around the world.
